Worldsurfengine.com is an internet based company for the surf industry and adventure travelers to connect, learn, do business, and advertise. Started in Hawaii with the hope of having a Hawaii based worldwide player bring back home some of the billions made worldwide back to the birthplace of surfing.
Letter from the CEO/President;
I started this company because I am a serial entrepreneur, surfer and adventure traveler. The thrill of traveling to a new destination abroad or on the continental USA has always sparked a sense of renewal and freeing of the spirit for me. Whether it be; going surfing, hiking, climbing or spelunking the thrill of adventure and learning something new on the road broadens my knowledge and understanding of people and places.
Sharing these experiences and hoping that others go out and broaden their horizons and worldly experiences is one of the main reasons I started this company. It is my hope that through the use of this site people will go out and learn about surfing, the outdoors and the world in a safe manner with fun in mind.
The site will hopefully assist the users in making better quicker decisions about planning their trips (how to get there, where to stay, what to do, emergency rooms, consulate and embassy information) and what they want to do while on their adventures. It will also allow for users to connect, comment, share ideas, and journal their travels, learn about culture, history, things to do, surf breaks and information about safety conditions and concerns.
Secondly the experience of starting new businesses and spending advertising dollars as a startup has always been a challenge. Looking for an opportunity and where to focus my advertising budget I came up with the idea while starting up Om Surf International. First hand knowledge of the pains for startups I saw an opportunity to allow advertisers an efficient and cost effective way for them to advertise their products, services, and companies.
Our way of listing companies allows for businesses to advertise at their locations for the world to find them faster and easier because they are organized by category on the internet. Being organized by category allows for a better more focused use of advertising dollars inasmuch as it brings customers directly to what they are looking for instead of hoping someone finds the advertiser on the internet on a site that may have little to do with their business type.
